Thirty years ago, the Abyss Rifts opened and mechanical abominations invaded Earth. Humanity fought back against the alien menace using mechs. Cole gained the defying-heaven ability to absorb mech power directly into his own flesh. He steam-rolled all powerful rivals in the Resource Trials. After claiming the championship, he publicly severed ties with his cold-blooded family. Then three demigod-class abominations launched a full-scale invasion, bringing catastrophe to the city. Bidding farewell to his mother, he turned into a shooting star and headed for far-off battlefields. His grand odyssey had only just begun.
