"Five years ago, Yu Wei and Qin Zexiu's relationship was torn apart by his mother, who believed Yu was unworthy of the family’s sole heir. Yu compromised and left Qin during his lowest point. After the breakup, she discovered she was pregnant but chose to raise their son alone, naming him Yu Xingxing. Yu Wei later died from cancer on Xingxing’s fifth birthday, leaving him an orphan overnight. Carrying the token his mother left him, the young boy sets out alone to find his birth father. But when he finally locates Qin Zexiu, Qin’s mother coldly questions his identity—leaving the child’s fate uncertain once more."
