Bella Shaw was left paralyzed from the waist down after a car accident. Her husband, Ethan Summer, in an effort to find a miraculous cure for her, asked his childhood friend Anna Carter, who worked at his hospital, to take care of her. However, Anna, consumed by jealousy, sought to take Bella's place. She repeatedly abused Bella and plotted to murder her. Ethan persistently sought the truth and eventually uncovered evidence of Anna's abuse, saving his wife in the process.
