On the night of Alice’s birthday, her best‑friend stood her up. By mistake, she took Vincent, a wealthy tycoon drugged that night and allergic to members of the opposite‑sex, for a surprise gift. The two spent one night together. Alice left some money behind and departed afterwards. Three years later, Alice got engaged to Frank, Vincent’s nephew. She ran into Vincent at a family banquet. Having recognised her, Vincent launched an aggressive pursuit. Craving the influence and status of the rich heiress Lydia, Frank, alongside his grandfather Victor, looked down on Alice for her humble background. On their wedding day, Frank publicly swapped his bride. He also humiliated Alice by exposing her past. Vincent rescued her at gunpoint. After surviving schemes orchestrated by his assistant Eva and a kidnapping perpetrated by Frank and Victor, Alice acknowledged Vincent’s sincere affection. The pair became a couple. When Alice became pregnant, Vincent signed over all his assets to her, and they embarked on a happy life.
