When Tavienne, a legendary elven commander, is captured by the scarred prince sent to take her head, neither of them expects what comes next. Raynar Wellington has hunted her for three years across seven kingdoms — and now she is finally in chains. But the curse eating through her veins can only be drawn out by his touch, and every time he saves her life, it costs him a piece of his own. He is hunting the Silver Lynx who destroyed his father’s kingdom. She is the Silver Lynx. And somewhere between the road, the fire, and the hands that keep finding each other in the dark — the mission becomes the one thing he can no longer finish.
