The Lin family demanded exorbitant compensation, and when Fu Mingqian and his wife revealed their identities, they were insulted. Their daughter-in-law, Lin Xiaoxiao, who arrived later, also treated them differently based on their status and subjected Fu Mingqian and his wife to further humiliation and mistreatment. After seeing the true nature of their in-laws' family, Fu Mingqian and his wife decided to cancel the wedding.
