Zhang Yu ran a transport business with childhood friend Chen Hao, netting nearly two million yuan a year. Yet Chen only paid him 100,000 yuan in dividends and mocked him as nothing more than a laborer. Holding back rage, Zhang used the sum as a truck down payment to go solo. With superb driving skills, he landed difficult orders and prospered. Deprived of Zhang’s help, Chen defaulted on contracts, paid heavy fines, lost his family and wound up as a construction-site guard. Zhang built a flourishing career, married his girlfriend Xiaoyu and severed their broken friendship.
