After Shen Mo, the biological daughter of the Shen family, returned home, she endured and strived diligently in the face of hardships imposed by Shen Wan, the adopted daughter, and ultimately secured a spot in the heir competition. Unwilling to accept this, Shen Wan instructed her childhood sweetheart Fu Shiyan to get close to Shen Mo, aiming to make her fall into decadence. Shen Mo saw through the scheme, and turned the tables by pretending to be Fu Shiyan’s kept woman. In reality, she secretly built up her strength, waiting for the day of the heir selection to expose Shen Wan.
