Clara had endured humiliation and silence for ten years in the Bellamy family, pretending to be mute and weak, yet she was still ignored by her mother and humiliated by her step-sister. Everyone liked her step-sister who had a powerful backer. But what if she stole her backer? Mr. Yates was cold and aloof, but he fell for a girl ten years younger than him, willingly becoming a stepping stone for her revenge. Until the wedding was approaching, Clara ran away with money.
