When a freezing apocalypse descends, Dorothy risks her life to secure supplies, only to be betrayed by her husband Luke’s family and callously pushed to her death down a flight of stairs. Consumed by burning hatred, she is reborn forty-eight hours before the apocalypse begins. In this new life, Dorothy sees the truth clearly; she publicly exposes her stepsister Mia’s scheme to frame her, decisively files for divorce, and—leveraging her own property rights and assets—kicks the heartless Walton family out of the house while freezing Luke’s finances. She then heads to the Atlas Shelter built by her grandfather, where she reunites with the brilliant scientist Will. Upon learning the truth behind the apocalypse, the two join forces to prepare for the crisis, and Dorothy unlocks the interdimensional storage capabilities of an heirloom ruby brooch. The frozen apocalypse arrives on schedule, turning the city into a living hell. Desperate and out of options, Luke’s family repeatedly begs to be taken in, but Dorothy turns them away every time. Refusing to accept defeat, they collude with mafia bosses Dex and Frank to launch a violent assault on the shelter. Frank, a disgraced former colleague of Will, holds a blue jade pendant capable of storing seeds for endangered crops, using it as leverage to demand a trade. Dorothy and Will turn the tables by infiltrating the enemy camp to orchestrate a counterattack. During the confrontation, Mia confesses to years of sowing discord and framing the protagonist, causing the Walton family to turn on one another. Ultimately, the group uses the shelter’s defensive mechanisms to crush the criminal forces and eliminate Frank’s gang. Lili successfully completes the risky process of binding the jade pendant, preserving a glimmer of hope for humanity’s rebirth. Mia, Luke, and their accomplices are cast out into the freezing wasteland to face the consequences of their wickedness. Dorothy, Will, and Lili remain in the safety of the shelter, beginning a new life amidst the frozen apocalypse.
