In the 1980s, two sisters from the ordinary Rivers family are both desperate to marry the factory director's sons to avoid being sent to the countryside. The beautiful Mavis uses every trick in the book to capture the heart of the younger son, eventually turning the wild rebel into her devoted "loyal dog." Meanwhile, despite being the "golden child" of the family, Selina's pursuit of the eldest son is far from lucky. Why did these two sisters end up with such drastically different fates?
