Rescued against all odds, Qingya vows revenge. Assuming the identity of Pan Duola, a renowned dancer who died in an accident, she spends a decade in meticulous preparation. She finally returns as the wife of Wu Ming’s godfather, infiltrating his inner circle to destroy his life from within. Pan Duola expertly sabotages Wu Ming’s political marriage and sows discord between him and his powerful godfather, matching him move for move. Discovering that Wu Ming’s true weakness is his younger brother, Wu Chu, she targets him—only to find herself falling unexpectedly in love. As she uses their growing intimacy to drive a wedge between the brothers, her feelings become dangerously real. Her plan to force Wu Ming’s surrender by kidnapping Wu Chu backfires catastrophically when Wu Chu, believing she murdered his brother, turns the tables and imprisons her. But Wu Ming is not dead. Furious at his brother’s marriage to Pan Duola, he returns to kill her—only for Wu Chu to take the fatal blow, saving the woman he loves with his own life."
