Bianca Rizzo has only ever been a weapon — the finest undercover cop on the Sicilian coast, sent to bring down the one mafia Don no badge has ever touched. Salvatore “Salvo” Aragona lets no one close — sun-drenched, ice-hearted heir to Taormina’s deadliest family, who buried the only woman he ever loved. So the bargain sounds simple: she’ll play his fiancée and bodyguard, the perfect cover for them both — no feelings, just the job, sworn over a glass of red. But every move to trap him breaks the wrong thing: her resolve. And the closer she gets to the arrest she swore she’d make, the harder it is to ignore real, reckless, impossible love — the kind that costs Salvo his crown, Bianca her badge, and both of them the lie that this was ever just a game.
