At the trial, Katerina exposes their crimes. General Victor arrives with his army to back her. Blood tests confirm the truth. Katerina deposes Alexander and has Milana arrested. Alexander begs for forgiveness but is exiled. Milana ends up on the streets, shamed and scorned. Katerina ascends the throne and begins a new life with Victor.
