Vivian Mercer has been married for ten years. She managed the household and supported her husband Grant in his early‑career endeavors, only to be left with nothing in the divorce court through the collusion of Grant, his mistress and his family. Even her son Leo was taken away from her. Grant humiliated her in court, claiming she had no money, no job and no home, making her unfit to raise the child. Vivian looked up and replied: Then I’ll buy the company that pays your lawyer. Though she appeared distraught, she actually possessed evidence of financial fraud and asset diversion committed by Grant’s company. She reclaimed access to the trust fund left by her biological father and teamed up with Julian Cross, a top‑tier divorce attorney whom she had missed out on dating back in college. She launched a two‑pronged counterattack in both the child‑custody hearing and the boardroom takeover battle. At the end of Episode 5, she received her son’s genuine medical records and discovered that Grant’s family had concealed the boy’s illness and medicated him to manipulate his condition. In Episode 6, she burst into a secret clinic, got her son back, and officially embarked on her legal revenge.
