Camilla killed herself after being sent to the Ice Wastes for a political marriage, triggering a war. Alexander died protecting Aurelia when the city fell, begging her to let him be with Camilla in their next life. Aurelia died in despair and was reborn before her wedding. She gave the engagement to her sister and went to the Ice Wastes in Camilla’s stead to marry its brutal king Ragnar, where all previous princesses had perished. With her fearless strength, she won Ragnar’s respect and love, becoming his queen and sharing an exclusive life with him.
