Zhou Yuanyuan, an urban white‑collar worker, had her new house renovated at a cost of 460,000 yuan, only for her great‑aunt’s family of five to break in by picking the locks and vandalize the property. Faced with the relatives’ moral blackmail and dramatic kneeling pleas, she firmly called the police and filed a case. With solid evidence, she sent four adult elders to prison and claimed 313,000 yuan in compensation. After their release from prison, the great‑aunt retaliated maliciously by splashing paint, and Zhou Yuanyuan had her imprisoned once again. In the end, the toxic relatives’ family fell apart. Zhou Yuanyuan enjoyed warm reunions with her own family, having defended her dignity and home with the power of the law.
