Shen Yanqiu, heir to the Shen family’s perfume craft, was raised by her grandfather. To earn her dowry, he worked in the royal mansion making fragrances for Su Lingwei—who falsely claimed credit for rescuing Prince Lu Shiyan to become his consort. Plagued by a foul stench after conceiving an illegitimate child via an illicit remedy, Su relied on Shen’s perfumery to regain her scent, appearance, and a legitimate heir, rising as the prince’s favorite.Shen later discovered she was the true savior.
