On day seven of toxic rain, Ethan Blake awakens the Hardcore Apocalypse Quest System — gaining an unbreakable door, infinite water, and a crossbow. He kills predatory neighbors without mercy, then recruits surgeon Evelyn under contract and teacher Sophia, who proves loyal by killing her abuser, unlocking cryokinesis and superhuman speed. Ethan wipes out both rival gangs, slays the Rainwater Broodmother, and secures the Territory Anchor — only to discover a survivor signal from City Center Hospital. The apocalypse is just beginning, and Ethan's real game has only started.
