Skyler Lewis was adopted from an orphanage by affluent parents, who already had a favored and deceptive 'heiress', Mira Lewis. Afraid of Skyler taking her place, Mira framed Skyler for a catastrophic accident that rendered her fiancé's sister a vegetable. Skyler's own parents and brother turned against her, manipulating trial evidence and testimonies, leading to her imprisonment. After five torturous years in jail, a disheartened Skyler was released with the resolve of severing ties with her family. Unexpectedly, her family now had a different agenda.
