"Mia, a servant girl abused by her adoptive family, rescues an unconscious Crown Prince Edward and shares a passionate night with him. She flees at dawn, leaving her butterfly brooch. Two months later, Mia is pregnant. Edward searches desperately for his mystery savior. When Mia’s stepsister Sophia and Lord Henry accuse her of treason and bearing a bastard, Edward recognizes her and declares her his future queen, ruthlessly punishing her enemies. But Princess Caroline of the neighboring kingdom schemes to destroy Mia. In her plots, she exposes a crimson iris birthmark on Mia—revealing the truth: Mia is the true princess of the Aster Empire, abandoned years ago by Caroline’s own mother."
