"Emma Hayes is a self-made businesswoman who rarely appears in public. For years, she devoted all her energy to her career and her son, and had long forgotten what it felt like to live for herself. A chance encounter led her to spend one night with Toby Bennett, a young CEO twenty years her junior. Emma thought it was just an accident with no names, no promises, and an ending at dawn, but Toby was certain she was the woman he wanted. Emma tried to end the relationship, but Toby refused to back down and even publicly announced that he would marry her. Yet at their first meeting with his parents, Emma was met with another astonishing twist—Toby's parents turned out to be her college classmates, and Toby's father had once pursued her obsessively. Toby's mother could never let go of her past jealousy and resentment, and could not accept Emma becoming her daughter-in-law. Worse still, Emma soon discovered that Toby was actually her son's best friend. Emma's son could not accept his mother being with his best friend either. He even joined forces with a man who had pursued Emma for years to launch a plan to break them apart. However, everyone underestimated Emma. She was a woman who had built a business empire with her own hands. When her true identity was finally revealed, those who had humiliated her and schemed against her realized—the only person truly qualified to decide this love was always Emma herself. This time, would she once again sacrifice herself for her family, or choose for the first time the person she truly wanted?"
