Scarlett is a pure-blood vampire who has lived for six hundred years, the Night Queen of the dark realm. Five years ago, she sealed her powers to experience human love and married Ethan, a penniless nobody, single-handedly lifting him to the pinnacle of New York’s business world. Yet after tasting success, Ethan cheated on his secretary Vanessa. He forced Scarlett to her knees and slapped her in public. She gave him three chances to make amends. On the day the final chance ran out, Lucien, the richest man on the planet, dropped to his knees before her and called her his master — overnight, New York’s entire financial landscape was upended. Only then did her husband realize the villa they lived in, the company he ran, and every single deal he signed all traced back to his wife. More devastating truths soon unfolded: his mistress Vanessa was Scarlett’s half-sister, and their father, thought to have died six hundred years prior, had been pulling all the strings from the shadows this whole time.
