"Eve Foster spent four years in prison for a hit-and-run she never committed—protecting Julia Reed, the woman her husband Ryan Blackwood loved. On the day Eve is released, Julia’s men brutally murder her. Eve dies alone, convinced Ryan will never know the truth. Two years later, Ryan arrives at Eve’s old apartment with a confession he wants her to sign, determined to make her take the blame for Julia once again. He still believes Eve is hiding from him—until he learns she has been dead all along. Refusing to accept reality, Ryan launches a desperate search, uncovering one devastating secret after another: Julia stole credit for Eve’s kidney donation, abandoned her pleas for help, bribed prison guards to torture her, switched her grandmother’s medication, and destroyed every trace of Eve’s life. As the evidence exposes Julia’s crimes, Ryan’s arrogance collapses into guilt and obsession. But by the time he finally sees Eve’s spirit and begs for forgiveness, she has already let go. Then fate gives Eve a second chance. Reborn three days before her death, she refuses to repeat the past. She moves her grandmother overseas, divorces Ryan, secures her own future, and prepares to expose Julia before the fatal crash ever happens. This time, Eve chooses herself. Ryan must face the life he destroyed—and learn that regret is worthless when it comes too late."
