Eleanor, the illegitimate daughter of Baron White, lost her mother at a young age and endured constant abuse from her stepmother and half-sister at the estate. After following her half-sister to the palace to work as a menial servant, she used her shrewd scheming and talent to advance step by step, successively bringing down a host of enemies. With the support of the Church, she had the queen deposed and, following the king’s death, was crowned queen herself, completing a stunning comeback.
