She built her husband’s billion-dollar tech empire with her own hands — so he betrayed her. Heartbroken, she fled Earth on a one-way trip to deep space, and another man sacrificed everything to follow her. Brilliant aerospace architect Isolde sacrificed her thriving career to build her husband Peregrine’s tech empire from scratch. However, after achieving fame and wealth, the ungrateful tycoon betrayed her with socialite Tamsin. He exploited Isolde’s reputation for publicity in public and indulged Tamsin’s endless humiliation and bullying toward her in private. Completely disillusioned and heartbroken, Isolde signed an irreversible one-way deep-space hibernation contract, choosing to leave Earth forever with no return. Elite pilot Pascal, who had secretly loved Isolde for years, witnessed her despair. He voluntarily joined the risky space mission, abandoning everything on Earth to accompany her. In her final seven days on the planet, Peregrine only offered empty lies and fake tenderness. He tolerated Tamsin seizing Isolde’s laboratory and even blamed his wife for being unforgiving. On their wedding anniversary, Peregrine deserted Isolde’s farewell dinner at Tamsin’s fake plea, missing his last chance for redemption. Soon after, Peregrine uncovered all the truth and Tamsin’s vicious schemes. He took brutal revenge on her before rushing madly to the launch base, only to watch the spacecraft blast into deep space. He was shattered with jealousy to see Pascal gently accompanying the ageless Isolde, their hands tightly locked. Pascal coldly stated Peregrine never deserved her, as Isolde completely cut off all contact with Earth. Peregrine squandered his hundreds-of-billions fortune over fifty years, devoting his whole life to retrieving the spaceship. After half a century of bitter waiting, the vessel finally returned. Wheelchair-bound and dying, the aged Peregrine hoped for forgiveness, only to find Isolde and Pascal still young and inseparable. She treated him like a stranger, walking toward a new life with her true lover. Buried in extreme jealousy and endless remorse, Peregrine breathed his last in utter despair.
