Taylor, a fifteen-year veteran cardiology director, is publicly framed for taking bribes by her jealous husband Sean. Resentful of living in her shadow, Sean conspires with Linda, her rival deputy, and drug rep Peter to forge evidence, stripping Taylor of her medical license and ruining her reputation. After moving out, Taylor investigates secretly with support from her lawyer friend Julia and mentor Professor Woods, uncovering their corrupt alliance and internal rifts. Sean’s mother dies due to improper medication switched by Linda. Sean, Linda and Peter are all arrested. The hospital apologizes and invites Taylor back. Letting go of grudges, she devotes herself purely to patient treatment and research, reborn from despair.
