After being betrayed and thrown to the zombies by her own cousin, Lin Yue dies in the apocalypse. Then she wakes up. It's thirty days before the red mist falls. Before the world ends. Her family's group chat is still buzzing—led by her cousin Lin Jiaojiao, who announces that the "weak" must sacrifice themselves for the strong. Lin Yue's name is first on the list. Every relative hits like. This time, Lin Yue smiles, leaves the chat, and plays a different game. She mortgages the house her relatives wanted to steal and sinks every penny into a hidden bunker deep in the Black Wind Mountains—complete with titanium blast doors, diesel generators, hydroponic farms, stockpiled weapons, and a surveillance network. When the red mist finally descends, turning the infected into flesh-crazed monsters, Lin Yue is safe behind reinforced steel. Her relatives are not. Lin Jiaojiao, who pocketed the family's money for "supplies," actually blew it on luxury goods. Trapped in a powerless villa as the infection spreads, the family turns on each other—and falls, one by one. Desperate and alone, Lin Jiaojiao begs Lin Yue for help. Lin Yue sends her a fake location. After crawling through hell to reach the real bunker door, Lin Jiaojiao finds it sealed shut. A screen plays a vision of her past-life betrayal. Then a small drawer opens—not with a weapon, but with a piece of raw, bloody meat. The pursuing zombies tear her apart on the doorstep. Outside, the apocalypse rages. Inside her bunker, Lin Yue pours a glass of wine. The world has fallen—but she is finally free.
