Kristen Dillard had been secretly in love with Dominic Reynolds, her father’s closest friend, for five years, regarding their relationship as true love. On the night of their fifth anniversary, she stumbled upon the devastating truth: Dominic had only pursued her to get revenge on her father, Thomas Dillard. He planned to get engaged to his first love, Brooke Burns, and even intended to leak their private videos to ruin her. After suffering a miscarriage, Kristen’s heart was completely broken. She faked her own death to escape and start a new life far away. On his wedding day, Dominic learned that he had been deceived by Brooke, and he was overcome with remorse. Years later, Kristen returned. Faced with his desperate pleas for forgiveness, and with her father’s full support, she chose never to forgive him, cut all ties with her past completely, and began her life anew.
