On the 35th wedding anniversary of her marriage to her husband Zhou Qiming, Lan Ying discovered that Zhou had been writing love letters to his female confidant Yang Yurui for years. Heartbroken, Lan Ying had a heart attack, but Zhou Qiming abandoned her for Yang Yurui. By some strange twist of fate, Lan Ying was reborn and found herself back on the day of filling out college application forms in 1980. In her previous life, Zhou Qiming had arranged for Yang Yurui to take her place at university and mocked her for being uneducated. After her rebirth, Lan Ying resolutely changed her application, determined to go to college and break free from Zhou Qiming. However, Zhou Qiming still wanted Lan Ying to give up the college opportunity to Yang Yurui and showed favoritism towards Yang Yurui in various matters. This time, Lan Ying refused to back down.
