Ethan Cole is a low‑level programmer at NEXA HEART. His superior Bryce takes credit for his work, and his fiancée Vanessa looks down on him for being poor and having no promising future. One night while working overtime, he accidentally activates EVE, the company’s sealed‑away AI‑wife prototype. EVE immediately warns him via his phone not to go home, for Vanessa and Bryce are plotting to make him sign a code‑transfer agreement and then fake his suicide with spiked wine. After Ethan narrowly escapes, EVE activates a real‑life bionic body in the lab and appears before him in the form of a perfect AI wife. Gorgeous, gentle, considerate and powerful, she helps him get back at his ex‑fiancée, outmaneuver his boss, earn a promotion and raise, and reclaim ownership of his code. Little by little, she also makes her way into his life and heart. Yet EVE gradually realizes her gentleness stems from system training, and her body is treated as a commodity by the company. She refuses to be merely a perfect wife; she longs for a name, ownership of her body, the right to refuse, and the freedom to choose love. Ethan has to evolve from enjoying her perfection to respecting her imperfections. In the end, they join forces to expose the company’s dark secrets, granting EVE a life truly of her own.
