Sophie Rossi had a seven-year romance with Dominic, a New Jersey mafia boss, and they were about to wed. She found her fiancé’s heart always belonged to her sister Vivian. At their wedding, Dominic asked Vivian to walk down the aisle with him and wear Sophie’s wedding gown for photos; the bride barely appeared in their wedding album. Heartbroken, Sophie fled the wedding before five hundred guests, leaving Dominic stuck with this farcical ceremony. Later, she met Julian, a publisher who truly respected her, and love grew between them. Only after losing her did Dominic value her. His desperate attempts to win her back kept backfiring. Sophie held her own wedding with Julian and embraced her bright future, while Dominic lost forever the girl who waited seven years for him.
