I’ve known since I was young that my mother was not an ordinary woman. She is the most dangerous woman in New York’s underworld and the true power behind two Mafia families. Ten years ago, she destroyed her enemies with a carefully planned scheme. Now, she brings me into that world. She teaches me medicine, strategy, and how to outplay my enemies. She also teaches me how to eliminate them. Until the day I turns eighteen, when she uses her own life to teach me the final lesson, in the Mafia world, the soft-hearted don’t survive.
