Because the master's daughter had strong feelings for Chase Foster, the master sent him down the mountain with a single palm strike, telling him to go "bother" his earthly marriage contracts. News of the Immortal Disciple's descent soon spread among the great families, and Nathora State became turbulent. But Chase himself panicked. Due to the difference in spiritual density between the mountain and the mortal world, he could not use his magic. "I'm doomed! I'm useless now! I know nothing but spells—and I can't even use them!" he cried.
