鄉村青年陸鳴進山時以鮮血喚醒史前黑曜石龍蛋，孵化出擁有恐龍血脈的小雞。為了還債，陸鳴帶著小雞在地下競技大賽爆冷奪冠，卻引來鬥獸場老闆陳梟的貪婪覬覦。陳梟以田小月為人質，脅迫陸鳴參加無規則生死賽。陸鳴藉機與陳梟之女陳曦假意結盟，暗中蒐集非法基因武器實驗的鐵證。賽場上，小雞一路進化為迅猛龍與巨獸龍，最終在絕境中覺醒霸王龍真身，以龍息摧毀了機械暴龍。兩人配合警方將陳梟逮捕歸案，陸鳴帶著小雞回歸鄉村，展開全新生活。
