Lu Jingchen and Shen Nian's five-year relationship was a carefully constructed lie. He had secretly married his first love Xu Wanning in Las Vegas five years ago, using "school registration" as an excuse to string Shen Nian along. He maintained two relationships at once, even transferring property under Shen Nian's name to Xu Wanning without her knowledge. For five years, she was his resource bank and emotional safety net—never once part of his real future. But Lu Jingchen never knew the truth about Shen Nian. She was not a powerless woman clinging to him—she was the sole heir of Yushi Pictures. For the past decade, she had been anonymously funding his career through a private foundation, providing top-tier resources, solving his crises, and propelling him to the top. He had taken everything she gave and never once looked behind the curtain. When the truth finally shattered, Shen Nian did not scream or cry. She bought the restaurant where he frequently dined—just to humiliate him over his habit of skipping bills. She returned to their apartment and smashed every object she had ever purchased for that home. Then she ordered her legal team to pull all funding, cutting him off at the root. When Lu Jingchen retaliated with slander and public smear campaigns, Shen Nian said nothing. She let the noise build. She let the hate roll in. And when his new drama bombed, when debts crushed him, when Xu Wanning fled with his money—she released the evidence. Marriage certificates. Bank records. Property transfer documents. The avalanche fell on him live, on finale night. Lu Jingchen was blacklisted, buried in debt, and broke down on his knees begging for forgiveness. Shen Nian walked away. She took Yushi Pictures public. From a woman fed on lies, she became the CEO who buried them.
