The Immortal was born as a sacrifice. On the day of Ava's awakening, she was betrayed by her fiancé, but discovered in the flames that she could devour the elemental flames themselves. Power means choosing to become a monster feared by the kingdom, or an existence that has never existed before. After experiencing fire, stone, frost, storms, and royal power, she forged a new crown that is not at the cost of sacrifice and is responsible to the people. The five major families fell, and the empire rose. The woman they tried to destroy became the only hope. But the crown she wore was everything they once wanted to take away.
