Lexi, a girl from the bottom rung of society, has her life completely hijacked by her scumbag ex-husband, who uses her Social Security Number against her. Struggling through the grit of Brooklyn, she encounters Nathaniel, a mysterious tycoon who appears like a ghost. He forcibly pulls her into Manhattan’s elite world with a legally binding marriage certificate. His reason? Obsessive and unhinged — he has been secretly in love with her ever since she gave him a sandwich and $20 on a rainy night three years ago. This "forced marriage" is the beginning of his pathological devotion, and the moment her fate spins out of control.
