Unexpectedly, Su Manqing had changed her mind and was about to marry Zhou Shihao, the son of a local wealthy merchant. Zhou Shihao set up a toll booth to collect tolls and beat up students. Lu Tianqiong tried to stop him but was seriously injured and his blueprints were burned. Zhou Shihao had no idea of his identity, nor did he know that the agency rights for the Heavenly punishment that he had coveted were decided by Lu Tianqiong. Qin Zhengchuan, Lu Tianqiong's bodyguard, led his team to the scene and exposed the truth. Zhou Shihao and Su Manqing were filled with remorse and eventually the villain was brought to justice. Lu Tianqiong also discovered that it was Su Manqing's sister, Su Wanqiu, who had truly saved him back then. She finally found happiness and was awarded the National Scholar Medal.
