"In the bustling city of Tianzhong, Su Qingchuan is a name synonymous with glory and wealth. Known to all as the daughter of the city’s richest man and the poised helmswoman of the Qingchuan Group, she is young, accomplished, and radiant. Yet in matters of love, she chooses to shed every glimmer of her status, living disguised as an ordinary student with modest means—all to know and love Zhao Qiming, who walks the same path of study. Zhao Qiming, gentle and diligent, has no idea that the simply dressed, warm‑smiling girl beside him is in fact one of the most influential figures in the city. Their relationship unfolds like a soft spring rain, quiet yet nourishing, filled with the sweetness and innocence of youth. They stroll along tree‑lined campus paths, sharing dreams and futures, a purity that makes their bond all the more precious. But such happiness does not last. Reality soon intrudes in the form of Zhao Qiming’s mother—a traditional woman deeply attached to social standing. Learning of her son’s relationship and mistakenly believing Su Qingchuan to be a poor student, she makes a demand: to “secure” their future, Su Qingchuan must purchase an apartment in Zhao Qiming’s name. Hearing this, Su Qingchuan feels a tumult of emotions. What she wishes to offer Zhao Qiming far exceeds a mere property; she wants to pave a broader path for their future, freeing him from material worries so he may pursue his dreams. Thus, she decides to select a premium location and buy a luxurious residence as a testament to their love. Yet to Zhao’s mother, this act reads as sheer ostentation—an attempt to flaunt wealth or marry into the family’s status. Enraged, she dismisses it as “a toad lusting after swan flesh.” In a heated confrontation, she loses control and strikes Su Qingchuan, insisting the pair break up because such a relationship would only bring shame upon the Zhao family. Pushed beyond her limit, Su Qingchuan decides it is time to turn the tables and humble them once and for all…
