Lin Yan, a disciple of the Azure Cloud Sect, can inherently see the truth behind ascension: the Ninefold Heavenly Tribulation is but a slaughter ritual where the Heavenly Dao devours cultivators. After his master and second senior brother are consumed one after another, the Heavenly Dao forces power infusion on him and imposes a three-year death sentence. He shatters his Mahayana foundation and defects from the sect. Wandering among mortals, he masters the demonic Devouring Art. Using himself as bait, he steps into the Heavenly Dao’s maw, detonates all his cultivation, scatters the truth spanning thirty thousand years across the world as glowing rain, and shatters the celestial deception at the cost of his life.
