Song Wennuan gave birth in a hospital, only to be deceived by her sister Song Mengya into believing her baby was stillborn. Mengya claimed Wennuan's unwed pregnancy had brought shame and gossip upon their family, who then arranged to send Wennuan abroad. Meanwhile, Mengya used Wennuan's living child to secure her position as the envied future Mrs. Qin. Five years later, Wennuan returned discreetly. While discussing a project, she narrowly escaped assault by a Mr. Li. Fleeing the scene, she accidentally collided with a young boy—her own son, Yan Yan. The boy's father, Qin Mubai, arrived with his men, encountered Wennuan, and felt an inexplicable pull towards her. With their son playing matchmaker, the two were gradually drawn together.
