Yun Chuji endured repeated abuse from Gu Hanshi for the sake of his cherished love. Her maid died tragically, her father jumped to his death, and she was left with crippled legs. Heartbroken, she asked for a divorce, only to be imprisoned. After becoming pregnant, her placenta was forcibly taken, and she ultimately died with her unborn child in the basement. It wasn’t until the death certificate was thrown in his face that the heartless man fell to his knees in despair—but it was too late for him to ever win her heart back.
