"When the elderly Gu Tingsheng underwent a bone marrow transplant, he discovered that his son was not his biological child. He then learned that his butler, Ning Hao, was actually his wife Jiang Xinran's first love. The son was born from the affair between Jiang Xinran and Ning Hao, and they had named the child Haoran, taking one character from each of their names. In their pursuit of the entire Gu family fortune, Ning Hao and Jiang Xinran killed Gu Tingsheng. However, to their surprise, Gu Tingsheng was unexpectedly reborn on the eve of his wedding, twenty years ago. With his rebirth, Gu Tingsheng swore that he would never again be a loyal fool and would cherish the people around him. However, his fiancée, Jiang Xinran, still foolishly believed that Gu Tingsheng was her most loyal servant. She continued her affair with Ning Hao, shamelessly flaunting it, and even threatened to proceed with their wedding the next day. On the wedding day, she publicly confessed her love for Ning Hao, only for Gu Tingsheng to expose their affair right there and then. The wedding was called off, and Jiang's family, caught in a public scandal, was thrown into a crisis, on the brink of bankruptcy."
