Five years ago, Teresa was brought back to the Elandon family—but she was never truly wanted. Her foster sister, Tessa, pushed Emma down the stairs and left her in a coma. To cover it up, Teresa’s own parents framed her and sent her to prison. For five years, Tessa paid off inmates to make Teresa’s life a living hell. Broken in body and spirit, Teresa finally walked out—only to find her family pretending to make amends, while still coddling Tessa. Their latest move? Forcing Teresa into marriage with Sebastian, a man whose reputation is nothing short of ruinous. But this time, she’s done playing the victim. No grovelling. No begging. Teresa is choosing to stand alone—and she’s just getting started.
