Brooke Sterling spent three years loving her husband, boxing champion Mason Masters, while he treated their marriage as nothing more than a way to make his former lover jealous. Each time he disappointed her, she placed a pearl in a jar. When the ninety-ninth pearl fell, she filed for divorce and walked away for good. Only after Brooke found happiness with Sullivan Brooks did Mason realize what he had lost. Desperate to win her back, he arrived at her wedding begging for another chance, but Brooke chose the man who had loved her all along. By then, Mason had learned a painful truth: love is lost one disappointment at a time.
