I was the mafia don Edmund’s secret lover for ten years. After our last night together, he told me he was about to marry the Russian mafia princess, Katerina. He decided six months ago. I burned his gifts, cut my phone, and prepared to vanish. But he dragged me back, forced me to design his fiancée’s "token of love," and bound me with a family blood oath. When a grenade flew into the party, he shielded his fiancée—and kicked me toward the explosion. That was when I finally understood: I was nothing but a weapon he could discard at any time.
