Chu Yunxi, suffering from severe depression, takes her own life by jumping off a building after her beloved husband, Meng Yushu, asks for a divorce. However, after death, she realizes that she was merely the hopelessly lovestruck protagonist of a sadistic drama. Armed with this newfound knowledge, Chu Yunxi resolves to rewrite her fate. She refuses to be bound by toxic love, choosing instead to take control of her own life, embrace independence, and carve out a future where she thrives as a strong, self-sufficient woman.
