In the underground arena of a wasteland metropolis, F-tier youth Ryker fights brutal illegal matches to raise money to save his sister, Lena, who suffers from a genetic disease. Driven to a dead end, he swallows a strange King Insect egg given by a black-market lord, causing a terrifying power to explode within his body. Riding the wave of this mutated ability, he slays his way up the ranks, breaking through class prejudice, but gradually mutates into a non-human entity in the process. As the truth unfolds, he uncovers a villainous Imperial conspiracy of human-insect fusion behind his sister's illness and his parents' deaths. As war and an insect tide sweep across the city, can Ryker, now fully mutated, hold on to his last shred of humanity and save his beloved sister?
