Reborn after Dragon King Geidon murdered her unborn eggs and destroyed her, Hebe refuses to become his queen again. To protect her clan, she enters the Dragon Abyss and bargains with Crest, an ancient wyrm suffering a mating fever. Their deal awakens a forgotten heart-bond, and Hebe conceives eighteen golden eggs. As Geidon, also reborn, tries to reclaim her by force, Hebe must choose between past trauma and a future with the mate who sacrifices his own life force to save her and their children.
